UBS Chairman Rejects Special Fund To Compensate Lehman Victims

WSJ:

BASEL, Switzerland (Dow Jones)--UBS AG (UBS) Chairman Kaspar Villiger Wednesday rejected calls for a special fund to compensate clients who have suffered losses, including those related to the collapse of U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers in 2008.

"Where it is proven that UBS is at fault, we will offer a fair solution, but this is not the case with each and every shareholder who makes a claim, even if they are certain it is the case," Villiger told UBS's shareholder assembly in Basel, Switzerland.
