UPDATE via AP: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Roxana Saberi should be allowed to offer a full defense at her appeal, the state news agency reported Sunday.
Ahmadinejad instructed chief Tehran prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi to personally ensure that "suspects be given all their rights to defend themselves" against the charges. "Prepare for the court proceedings ... to observe and apply justice precisely," the IRNA state news agency quoted the president as saying.
On a side note: US-born Saberi, who is also of Japanese descent, has reported for US-based National Public Radio (NPR), the BBC and Fox News, and had lived in Iran for six years.
Has anyone notice that Fox News is not involved in the Saberi's imprisonment?

Iran knows that Roxana was used by the CIA after Dick Cheney leaked Plame's name and needed a spy in Iran. Her name come up because she did freelance work for the Bush/Cheney Station Fox News. Yes she was clueless but she did send informtion back to the CIA. Iran knows how low the US is and know she was used. Obama and Hillary know this too. If Cheney hadn't leaked Plame's name Roxana would still be living out her dream.
