President Obama to answer your questions on Thursday

White House website:

The President invited everyone to use a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov called "Open for Questions" to ask a question about the economy and rate other questions up or down. Then, on Thursday morning, the President will conduct a special online town hall on the economy and answer some of the most popular questions and the event will be streamed on WhiteHouse.gov.

"Open for Questions" is a new experiment for WhiteHouse.gov, the President’s latest effort to open up the White House and give Americans from around the country a direct line to the Administration.

This first round will deal with a chief concern for all of us: the economy. We’ve created a few categories to better organize the questions, and encourage you to search for a specific question before you submit your own in case it already exists.

To get started, head over to
http://WhiteHouse.gov/OpenForQuestions and set up your account. Then follow the simple instructions to start voting on questions or submit your own (we encourage you to include a link to a published video of the question being asked, although this is not required).

So nice to have an intelligent person running this country.
I cringed, sighed and rolled my eyes with the last regime, at least we have intelligence now.
As Obama answered one reporter who said why he did not speak right away on a bank situation, he answered I wanted to get informed on the subject before I spoke.
Overall Obama did a great job last night, he was able to answer the questions, all were about the economy, and none about the mess/wars, with the exception of talking about the veterans benefits/healthcare, and many homeless veterans.

For US History Buffs we got to see a modern day Thomas Paine smack down. I wondered during an interview when Michelle Obama said we didn't want to see the reaction when the wrong botton was pushed on her husband. We got to see it last night. As a reporter tried to make the President look disinterested in AIG bonus President Obama not only silenced the reporter but cut him off at his knees with his words. You could hear a pin drop it was so silent. Now me I would have told him off but President Obama learned from the best educated Amricans of our pass. Remember Thomas Paines Common Sense, that's what we saw last night. In defence of the Press reporters who for 8 years have had to defend, excuse, explain and even correct President Bush''s speeches and Q&A Press Conferences. It's so easy when the speecher is stupid it makes you look smart. Now with a smart educated President, the press reporters have to do some reading to as intelligent questions. That's a change for them.

Thanks SPB I'll be putting my question to the President.
