Planet Wingnut News for Wednesday.

O’Reilly’s sexism: Women need male breadwinners, should stay home to watch the kids.
Monday night — before engaging in a baseless, misleading attack against ThinkProgress’s Amanda Terkel — Bill O’Reilly launched his ire at single mothers who dare to have children without fathers. He said such decisions make women poorer because they need male breadwinners, and he insisted that mothers should be at home with the children anyway:
O’REILLY: Everybody, all the statistics and studies, show if you don’t have a father supporting the family, you’re probably poor.
HOOVER: That’s sexist. It’s not that you have to have a father supporting the family. But you do have to have parents and you have to have them be able to —
O’REILLY: I love this. I love this from you. It’s sexist, because I just told the truth. You don’t have the father providing some income when the mother is giving birth, OK? You see, when you give birth — you may some day know this — you can’t go out and work the next day, OK?! And you should be watching the kid anyway. So there’s got to be somebody else giving you money beside the government.

Fox anchor compares taxing AIG bonuses to sexual abuse
Fox Business Network anchor Dagen McDowell made her case against a new tax on Wall Street bonuses funded by the government by comparing it to sexual abuse.
McDowell: "You don't want to think if you get in bed with Uncle Sam he's going to strip you naked, chain you to the bed, leave you there and then take nasty pictures of you and then put them on the internet."

Pat Buchanan wonders if the nation will survive having 135 million Hispanics
Leave it to Pitchfork Pat Buchanan to take a seemingly rational discussion of America's relationship with Mexico on Andrea Mitchell's MSNBC show this morning and turn it into a Latino-bashing bigotfest:
Buchanan: Mexico is the greatest foreign-policy crisis I think America faces in the next 20-30 years. Who is gonna care, Andrea, thirty years from now whether a Sunni or a Shi'a is in Baghdad, or who's ruling in Kabul? We're going to have 135 million Hispanics living in the United States by 2050, heavily concentrated in the Southwest. The question is whether we're going to survive as a country.

FOX's Brett Baier's first comment was about the teleprompter
FOX's
Brett Baier's first impression of President Obama's National Press Conference after telling us how long it was and how many questions he took was to cut to a shot of the massive screen in the back and middle of the room and he said that Obama read his opening statement there.

Dave N: It seems as thought Chip Reid and Ed Henry are becoming reliable regurgitators of the right-wing talking points. And it was clear that Obama was ready for them. His answers were clear, lucid, and persuasive. And in shutting down Henry at the end for persisting in asking him why it took him so long to decide to come down on the AIG bonuses, he was very pointed -- and effective -- indeed.
John Amato:
Chuck Todd thinks Obama is Bush and needs to ask the American people to sacrifice. Obama tells him what is so freaking obvious. They have sacrificed already. Bush told us to just buy something like a lamebrain when the country needed some leadership and he offered none.
Chip Reid has become the Republican mouthpiece.
Bill O'Reilly must be very disappointed that President Obama is trying to explain himself clearly and not giving us quick one-liners.

Hey O boy, I'm willing...how many breadwinners do I get? I think it would take several to keep me-alas, only one gets to touch me! LOL

The GOP is against abortion....but then if a woman does not abort and now is a single mother that's a problem too?
