Fitzgerald Wants Bush Critics on Jury

WASHINGTON -- Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald pushed back Thursday against defense attorneys who have been weeding Bush administration critics out of the jury pool in the perjury trial of former White House aide "Scooter" Libby.
"The jury will not be asked to render a verdict on the war or what they think of the war," Fitzgerald said Thursday at the onset of the third day of jury selection.

And Fitz makes a good point. The case is about perjury and not about the Iraq war.

I think if the defense puts to much into what jurors think of the so called war they have given the case to the Prosecution. Yes all the cover up was about the Wilson attack but when the decision of lying is asked it's a yes. It doesn't matter if you believe Bush was right or wrong. The charges are against Libby for knowingly lie under oath. Fitz should stress the fact that Libby is a skilled lawyer not an everyday working who needs an attorney when a legal matter comes up. He knew what he was doing was wrong for what ever reason he did it he lied knowing he was breaking the law.
