The House Ethics Committee is investigating Reps. Greg Meeks (D-NY) and Jean Schmidt (R-OH) on allegations that they violated House ethics rules.
The panel announced the probe Friday afternoon in a terse letter saying only that Reps. Job Bonner (R-AL), the committee's chairman, and Linda Sanchez (D-CA), its ranking member, have "jointly decided to extend matters" regarding Meeks and Schmidt.

Speaking of lack of ethics, how is this not insider trading: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/clout/chi-treasurer-suspends-employee-one-week-for-bright-start-mistake-20110701,0,6039144.story? Martha went to jail for something similar. That 'lady' needs to lose her job, not just get suspended.
Saw your article Kitty. Yeah, isn't amazing that Martha Stawart went to jail for inside trading, trading her own $200k money yet former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo dodged the bullet by SEC when SEC dropped inside trading charges against Mozilo and accepted just a settlement? If were Martha Stewart, I take notes of the crooks and perps from the major corporation execs who committed inside trading and criminal acts that are in bed with the federal agencies and lawmakers.
