Utah disability advocates sue Wells Fargo, claiming violations of federal ADA law in Davis Co

A Utah organization has filed a civil-rights lawsuit against Wells Fargo Bank, claiming night-drop deposit boxes in Davis County are out of reach for disabled people.


The Disabled Rights Action Committee and its chairwoman, Barbara Toomer, filed their complaint Monday in U.S. District Court, asserting that night depositories in Farmington, Bountiful and Syracuse are inaccessible due to architectural barriers.

That makes the bank branches in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the lawsuit says. The case has been assigned to Magistrate Judge David Nuffer.
