The case was filed against SunTrust Mortgage, Inc. and SunTrust Banks, Inc. /quotes/zigman/242272/quotes/nls/sti STI -0.12% . The complaint was filed on behalf of homeowners who pursued mortgage loan modifications with SunTrust and alleges that Defendants violated consumer protection laws and breached contracts and other duties by, among other things:
