Thousands of Texans Attend ‘Largest Free Clinic Ever Held In The United States’ To Get Health Care

Keep in mind that Gov. Perry is anti-stimulus money and anti-healthcare reform.

Thinkprogress:

Over the weekend, thousands of Texans attended what is being called the “largest free clinic ever held in the United States” to get health care they otherwise could not afford. ABC-13, a local Houston station, reported that the event showed that there is an “epidemic” of people without proper health coverage in Texas:

It’s an epidemic here in Texas and Harris County — people without health insurance. On Saturday, the uninsured lined up to get their needs met.

More than 2,000 people came to Reliant Center to see doctors for free. Many of the people we talked to can’t afford health insurance, especially in the rough economy. Some say it shows the need for health care reform.

This is sad that there is such a need for health care in this country. This was all volunteer doctors.

Also some of the comments on this article were...well let's say they were Fox Nutwork watchers, especially the continuous," we must have auto insurance by law, we should have by law health insurance".....well these ignoramouses didn't read how these people are out of money, jobs, savings etc. so I am sure even if there is a law for auto insurance they will eat before paying that premium. Truley ignorant comments, following this story on the comment section..don't these imbeciles know that if these people could afford health insurance they would? Clueless redneck Beck fan commenters, act like these people are being defiant by not having insurance.

Nope don't blame the victims, but the rednecks in Texas turn of Fox Nutwork to comment.
