Remember Senator Chcuk Grassley's wingnut comment at his townhall healthcare reform
by saying that the United States "should not have a government run plan to decide when to pull the plug on grandma?" Well, remember Terri Schiavo case? Grassley expressed his views at the time: "I support the effort to protect Terri Schiavo. It’s the first case of its kind, a chance to choose life over death. I gave the option to life. . . ." Grassley didn't support "life." Instead, he supported governmental intrusion into the Schiavo matter. Grassley is now against governmental intrusion before he was for it which of course the voluntary consultation of end of life provision in the healthcare reform has been distorted by the GOP, wingnuts, and media. Grassley deserves the hypocrisy award.
