Planet Wingnuttia News for Tuesday.

Lindsey Graham Wants Some "Action" From President Obama on Iran and North Korea
From Fox News Sunday April 19, 2009. After being shown a group of highly edited clips of President Obama talking about, as Chris Wallace puts it, "apologizing" for previous Presidents, he asks if reaching out to other countries is constructive or just "pandering".
Graham: Well I tell you the fruits of this effort will determine how successful that it is. It doesn't set well with me but he is now my President. The key is can he rally the world to stop the Iranians from producing nuclear weapons? Can he rally the world to do something about the North Korean missile program that is moving forward? Can he rally the world to impose sanctions on North Korea after they kick out the weapons inspectors?
If talking poorly about the past and the United States can do that..uh..good. I don't believe it will. We're looking now for action, not just rhetoric, not political rhetoric. He has a chance and an opportunity and a requirement to do something about Iran and North Korea by getting the world involved, China and Russia particularly. We'll see if he's able to do, to perform that task. That is his job now.

The latest fake controversy on Planet Wingnuttia: Obama shook Chavez's hand!!! OMG!!!!
On Monday's morning's Morning Joe, Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough were all over President Obama for having shaken Hugo Chavez's hand, and worse still, having sat through Daniel Ortega's anti-American tirade:
Buchanan: Barack Obama allowed himself to be disrespected. Now if that's the way he wants to do it personally, that's personal. But he's the President of the United States, and his country was savaged and smeared down there, and he grinned all the way through it.
Later, he continues in the same vein:
Buchanan: But I think he allowed himself to be disrespected. The perception was he was being made a mockery of down there. Chavez was up there putting that stupid anti-American book in his face. He gets lectured for fifty minutes, then he goes over to Morales and tells him how wonderful it is that he's an indigenous -- Morales is an enthno-nationalist. He believes the Spanish and the white people should be put down because they've run things –

Gingrich slams Obama over Chavez — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tore into President Barack Obama Monday for his friendly greeting of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, saying Obama is bolstering the “enemies of America.” — Gingrich appeared on a number of morning talk shows comparing Obama …

This makes it clear why our kids have no respect look at the Leaders. I do understand how Republican Law Makers and spoke people hate Chavez. But during the winter when Republicans on the East coast couldn't afford heating oil and these same Republicans along with the Bush Administration said TO BAD FREEZE. One lady said she had to pick either her medication or oil. Others said there pipes in their home would freeze and they had children. The Govenors of these States asked for help and got nothing. Along come Chavez who gave heating oil to all for 40 per cent discount. Yes these families made it during the winter months because of his kindness. But like true Republicans never said thank you. But the next year asked Chavez to help again. Alaskan people were freezing and asked Govenor Palin for help, she said no. Republican Law Makers said these people are poor and have to deal with it the best way they can. Again Chavez offers help this time because the people were poor Chavez gave them free heating oil for the whole winter months. The Alaskan said thank you to Chavez for his help. Point our country has lost it's basis Christian values and morals over the pass 8 years and it seems some want that back. Bush did a great job of lying cheating and stealing and having total disrespect for everyone. I'm an American and I wouldn't shake President Bush's hand because he's dirty and who knows where that hand has been.
