Burris in the bubble.

The Capitol Fax Blog:

US Sen. Roland Burris apparently
resides in a bubble

The latest poll numbers do not look good for Roland Burris. A new poll just came out, showing a 19 percent approval [sic*] rating for Burris.

The senator was speechless in response to the news about the poll, but then he went on, like many politicians do, to say that polls don’t matter.

Net worth of the Burris family:

* U.S. Sen. Roland Burris and his wife had a net worth in 2008 between $906,000 and $1.8 million, Burris reports in a new federal financial disclosure

On a side note: Only 50 people showing up for his first major fundraiser, Burris’ media adviser thinks she still has enough time to rehabilitate his image.

Burris might as well use his own moeny for his campigan. Roland did good in the stealing department. 1.8 million of other people's money. He doesn't seem like he has a problem paying those legal fees with that kind of money available.
He should quickly mark his gravestone before he's broke.

Burris is toast for Senate, we have a few really good, and popular Dems coming out against him for the primary, Alexi Gianoulious for one. Lisa Madigan is sure to go for the Gov spot.

Madigan has a bunch of money already.

And Madigan wanted to the Guv job anyway. So, the Guv leadership is really up for grabs.
