During an interview with PajamasTV yesterday, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) falsely claimed that the last swine flu outbreak occurred under "another Democrat President, Jimmy Carter." Bachmann, however, insisted she was not trying to blame either man for the outbreaks:
BACHMANN: I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under Democrat President Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it is an interesting coincidence.
The only problem is that the last U.S. outbreak of swine flu did not begin under Carter. Rather, it began in February of 1976, when Republican Gerald Ford was president.

If people believe her it works. Look most of the Republicans are making up stuff and many people are just following like sheep. Bachmann is one reason Specter jumped ship.
