U.S. watchdog: Billions of U.S. aid wasted in Iraq.

U.S. watchdog says billions of U.S. aid wasted in Iraq --$3 to $5 billion in U.S. aid for 'rebuilding' Iraq has been wasted since 2003. About $3 billion to $5 billion in U.S. aid for rebuilding Iraq has been wasted since 2003, and similar problems will likely haunt development in Afghanistan, a top U.S. watchdog said on Wednesday.

Stuart Bowen, the U.S. special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction, told Congress that sums wasted on ill-designed or failed projects in Iraq translate into 15-20 percent of the $21 billion Iraqi Relief and Reconstruction Fund set up by Congress after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion.

Foreign Press reported this years ago as it was happening but Americans were to busy watching American Idol and Law Makers were laughing as they lined their pockets. Now the US taxpayers better how Iraq doesn't charge the US for the unnecessary damage to the country. Yes Bush told Iraq they wouldn't have to pay the US back for the 1 Trillion plus dollars were gave them but nothing was said about paying for the damage we did to that country.
