Prosecutors of the prostitution case that exposed Eliot Spitzer as a client while he was governor are appealing a court order directing them to unseal records that may shed light on the origins of the investigation. The case led to Mr. Spitzer’s resignation as governor of New York in March 2008.
The Feb. 19 ruling by Jed S. Rakoff of United States District Court in Manhattan ordered the federal prosecutors to provide the records — including sworn affidavits that were part of wiretap applications in the case — to The New York Times, which in December filed a motion to unseal the material.
The prosecutors, from the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan, filed a notice in court on Monday saying that they would appeal Judge Rakoff’s ruling to the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, a decision that was made by senior Justice Department officials in Washington.

This is a tricky one. If the case is unsealed we will learn this was a sit up that included Republican/Democrat Law Makers and some other powerful people. Success came to the Stock Market Crash because the US brought down the Govenor who would have stopped it. It still makes me laugh as Americans attacked Spitzers values while doing nothing while Bush/Cheney were lying, killing and stealing right in the face of the taxpayers. Yes Bush/Cheney crime team knew Americans were so fake they will demand Spitzer resign as the criminals could continue to steal from the American people right in their faces. Now Americans ask what happen how did we get in a recession. It shows the world just how easy it is to get over on the American people who are so full of themselves they even let the biggest criminals be President and Vice President. This Bush Admiinistration robbery was easier they a pick pocket, as Americans just smile as Bush/Cheney robbed us blind.
Yes now the same Americans demand President Obama toss some magic dust to repair the damage or even wave that magic wand. We broke it we have to fix it and pay the cost along the way.
Spitzer was stupid for what he did, but he tried going after the crooks on Wall Street. It is curious that it is the same type of women that bring down certain men. Their backgrounds usually reveal more.
