TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey's attorney general says she has launched an investigation into whether insurance giant AIG violated state law by paying retention bonuses to some employees.
Attorney General Anne Milgram sent a letter Thursday to AIG Chairman Edward M. Liddy, demanding a list of all workers in the firm's AIG Financial Products subsidiary who have received bonus compensation since September 2008.
She is also seeking details on the source of the compensation, copies of employment contracts of individuals who got bonuses, whether federal money was used to compensate the executives and other documentation.

AIG will be broken apart as the name is now known as Crooks. Look for Goldman Sachs to step in and take over as that was the plan from the beginning.
