Memo to Jack Box: Fire Phil.

If folks remembered the Super Bowl commercial, Jack in the Box ran a commercial where Jack Box got ran over by a bus and was in a coma. Well, Jack is back. See the video. Rather you did or didn't like the commerical, it did created a major buzz and a very clever marketing tool using You Tube and word of mouth. By the way, Jack in the Box website is getting a makeover. Curious what the website would look like since I remembered Jack In the Box and the drive- thru clown years ago.

MSNBC:

The company gathered its employees to celebrate the end of a successful campaign that started with a Super Bowl ad (viewed 1.6 million times on Yahoo and YouTube) and ended with a "Hang in There Jack" website (visited by 2 million people) and more than 77,000 get well wishes from customers.

The company proclaimed the ad campaign a success and it's hard to argue with that assessment. The website crashed for a few minutes after the Super Bowl Ad aired because of the crush of fans trying to find out what had happened. Thousands of customers signed up for Jack's health updates sent to their email. The campaign caught attention.

On side note: I think Phil was behind Jack getting hit by the bus. He wanted Jack's job. Calling Eric Holder. ;P

Ok I admit it I went on Jack's website to wish him a speedy recovery. I don't know why but Jack is cool. I'm beginning to believe Phil might have push Jack in front of the bus just to take over the company. It was cute to name the company Phil in the Box. I even visited Jack in the Box and the employees always let you know how Jack is doing it so funny.
