Grand jury hears from witness about Blago's wife.

A federal grand jury probing corruption under former Gov. Rod Blagojevich in the last two weeks has called witnesses to testify specifically about his wife, defense sources told the Chicago Sun-Times.

The recent questioning has centered in part on Patti Blagojevich's real estate dealings and comes as the feds close in on an indictment involving the ex-governor and others.

The indictment has an April 7 deadline but could come Thursday -- the day that grand jury meets.

Defense lawyers said witnesses were questioned about Patti Blagojevich, her former firm, River Realty, and commissions she was paid on real estate deals involving political supporters, donors or state contractors. The former first lady took part in more than half a dozen real estate dealings with convicted businessman Tony Rezko, sources said.

One included a 2002 deal in which Patti Blagojevich won nearly $50,000 in commissions. Months later, the former governor named Rezko friends to prominent state posts. Patti Blagojevich was also a broker in a deal involving lobbyist John Wyma, a former Blagojevich friend and fund-raiser.

Patti Blagojevich's lawyer, Raymond Pijon, said Monday he knew nothing of the recent grand jury activity.

Also note the Suntimes broke this story and many many others.

Anyhow, this comes as no surprise, she is Dick Mells spoiled child and he introduced her to someone who could take care of her in the style she was accustomed to, that being Rod Blagojevich. She wanted more and more, she was born choking on a silver spoon where his parents worked like dogs and never owned a home. Yes, she is the one who I am sure (as well as many others) who pushed him to do more and more. They both need his and hers jumpsuits. Too bad there are small children involved here, the only vote in the State house not to impeach her husband (Rod) was from her sister.
