Geithner, Bernanke to discuss bailout, AIG.

WASHINGTON, Mar 18, 2009 (UPI via COMTEX) -- -- A U.S. House finance committee is calling on two key federal officials to learn more how the money bailing out financial institutions is being used.

U.S Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke are scheduled to testify before the House
Financial Services committee March 24 to discuss federal assistance to troubled institutions in general and the AIG bonus flap in particular, committee members said Wednesday during a subcommittee at which American International Group chief executive officer Edward Liddy testified about the bonus situation.
