Fleischer: WH press secretary needs ‘to be careful’ about taking ‘a slap at a political opponent.’

Ari must need a job. We haven't seen around for quite some time. He sounds like the Teddy B. Ruxbin bear who stay with his talking points slamming Obama's WH press secretary's swipe about El Rushbo.

Thinkprogress:

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe yesterday, former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer condemned current Press Secretary Robert Gibbs for naming Rush Limbaugh the leader of the Republican Party, saying that he needs to realize “how much weight your words have”:

FLEISCHER: You know, you really have to be careful when you stand at that podium cause you don’t realize until you are in that unique job how much weight your words have. And when you previously as a senators secretary or a party’s secretary, press secretary, could dismiss or take a slap at a political opponent. When you do it from the White House, you’re bring the weight of the government on to that private person. So, you really have to be careful about it and do it with some grace. Going after Rush Limbaugh, it’s just to me, the usual nonsense

But on MSNBC, David Schuster smacks down Fleischer over his hypocrisy.

Oh, this one was fun to watch. Ari jumped onto the ice with a Hypocrisy Double Axel, immediately attacking the Obama administration and the "Democrat" party for... wait for it... being childish!

Yeah, Ari, because calling the Democratic Party the "Democrat Party" is so awesomely mature. (I know you are, but what am I?)

But that was just the beginning. Ari was spinning and leaping all over the place as he clutched his pearls, wondering over and over what happened to the "post-partisan" Obama? To hear him talk, he was puzzled and hurt by the vicious slash and burn tactics of the president and his party, and kept repeating how "childish" it all was.

Shuster wouldn't stand for his nonsense, though. He cited chapter and verse, including the time Ari attacked Move On and the entire Democratic party as "unpatriotic" over the General Petraeus ad.

Just go watch it. If this is the best media spokesperson the Republicans can throw at us, we're in good shape.

On a side note: Ari said that he worries about his 401k under the Obama Administration. This must mean that he wasn't one of Bushie favorites to land a secure and cushy job and/or he is losing his retirement in the stock market like the rest of the American people.

Ari forgets his own pass as he openly lied for the White House and even attacked anyone who spoke up.
