Activists protest Gov Sanford's denial of stimulus money

And of course, I knew this would happen... Protest took place this past weekend.

Several dozen who oppose Governor Sanford's decision to reject $700 million in stimulus cash held a "stimulus rally" in Florence to protest.

Pat Gibson-Hye, political activist and Florence County school board member, organized the event, and said the message was simple.

"This rally today was to let Governor Sanford, who just doesn't get it, know that not only are we asking for that stimulus recovery money, we are demanding that money. We need that money here in South Carolina in a big way," Gibson-Hye said.
