Marine Charged with Threatening Obama A Camp Lejeune, N.C., Marine has been charged with threatening Barack Obama before the president was sworn into office last month. Kody Ray Brittingham faces up to five years in prison and three years of supervised release if convicted [!] of threatening the president-elect, according to U.S. Attorney George E.B. Holding. According to a news release, Brittingham told people in November that he intended to shoot Obama, among other things.
Problem bank list tops 250 The government's closely watched list of troubled banks grew during the fourth quarter to its highest level since 1994, regulators said Thursday. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. reported that the number of firms on its so-called "problem bank" list grew to 252 during the last three months of 2008, compared with 171 banks making the list in the prior quarter.

The decision by the three-judge appeals panel is a setback for the new Obama administration as it adopts some of the same positions on national security and secrecy as the Bush administration.
I thought only "W" stood for Wiretap...it must go so deep and be so bad President Obama would have to put Bush Adm officials in solitary for their own safety if people know how badly the 4th Amendment was trashed.
McCain needs to shut the stuff up already, he voted with W early on to relax pollution laws at refineries.
Well the GOP including gramps should support Withdrawl we are getting nowhere, it's costing many lives and money.
And since the W administration was in bed with the UAE so what if they are buying arms, and how many companies that are selling is Cheney involved in?
