‘I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear…’

Thinkprogress:

Our 44th President takes the oath of office. There was a trivial, momentary slip when Chief Justice John Roberts asked Obama to recite the first line of the oath in the incorrect order. Roberts said “execute the office of President of the United States faithfully,” rather than “faithfully executive.” The oath reads: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Obama paused and allowed Roberts to correct himself.

Update: Check out the new White House website.

Update 2: It even has a blog

Update 3: The full text of President Obama's speech is here.

Update: "There were cheers, whoops of joy and loud applause at US military bases in Afghanistan today as soldiers welcomed in their new commander-in-chief, President Barack Obama."

The Supreme leader and puppet and their disasterous ways are out!

So nice to have a President that was voted in by the people of this country!

Nice cartoon SPB I hope all those who gave their lives for this day to happen.

It was something to see as it was the people that took hold of this day. I saw Dr. King when he spoke and this was 4 times bigger. This is the largest crowd to ever see a President sworn in office.

Now what will be interesting is how Justice Roberts does now that the crooks are gone. I think Roberts will surprise many Republicans. I don't see Altio changing as he still has to hide the fact he's gay. Clarence Thomas will continue to have nightmares and see dead people and now he'll have Barack Obama in his sleep as he continues that famous smile and those big ears.
