President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden visited the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. They met with Chief Justice John G. Roberts and the other eight justices.
Biden returns to D.C. from fact-finding trip in the Middle East
Vice President-elect Joe Biden returned to Washington D.C. and toured the Transition offices with President-elect Barack Obama. They were joined by Armed Services Committee member Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who recently traveled with Vice President-elect Biden to Kuwait, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq as part of a bipartisan fact-finding delegation.

That is why I’m so pleased that Democrats and Republicans in the House of Representatives came together to provide health insurance to over ten million children whose families have been hurt most by this downturn. This coverage is critical, it is fully paid for, and I hope that the Senate acts with the same sense of urgency so that it can be one of the first measures I sign into law when I am President,” said President-elect Obama.
