Win For The Right: Bush Commutes Sentences Of Border Agents
With less than 24 hours left in his presidency, President Bush has commuted the sentences of two former Texas Border Patrol guards whose case became a cause celebre for the anti-immigration right. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were each serving 10-plus year sentences for shooting an unarmed Mexican drug smuggler.
