"Individual D" seeks immunity in Blago probe.

"Individual D" revealed: Political fundraiser Raghuveer P. Nayak.

Chicago Tribune:

A key figure in Gov.
Rod Blagojevich's alleged scheme to sell a U.S. Senate seat has sought immunity from federal authorities in return for his cooperation in their ongoing probe, the Tribune has learned.Raghuveer P. Nayak, an Oak Brook businessman and political fundraiser, is the unnamed "Individual D" who prosecutors say was being squeezed by the governor for campaign cash in return for appointing U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. to the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama, sources said.Investigators appeared at Nayak's Oak Brook home the morning the FBI arrested Blagojevich, the sources said.

Nayak was among a number of people connected to the case who were contacted by federal agents that day.Nayak has not been accused of wrongdoing and declined to comment. It is unclear what information he can provide to authorities, who said they had more work to do after moving quickly to interrupt the governor's alleged scheme.

P. 73:

ROD BLAGOJEVICH told Fundraiser A to tell Individual D that if Senate Candidate 5 is going to be chosen to fill the Senate seat “some of this stuffs gotta start happening now . . .right now. . . and we gotta see it. You understand?”

Unless Rove is somehow connected/indicted, well...all I can say is yes, graft was committed- but Blogo isn't responsible for marketing the unnecessary deaths of American soldiers and Iraqi citizens, stealing elections, suspicious deaths of witnesses and firing US Attorneys who wouldn't do his bidding.

Sure the wiretappers were appalled about what they heard; but am I to believe the outing of a CIA agent in retaliation in a time of war is not more so?

This case isn't about Plame it's about G-Rod. Each case takes time. Fitz was up against the White House with Libby. This current case is a Democratic Govenor. Your questiion on wiretapping can be answered with the Patriot Bill that Bush illegal passed. Now it was made law as this case was about getting illegal money. Once you read the Patriot Act you will understand that Bush set the Bill up the fraud you see today. Think back with Spitzer being wiretapped. It was ruled under the Patriot Act for a possiblity he was using campaign funds even knowing Spitzer is a billaire. Now Fitz will be able to use the Bush Law and no one can change it until Obama/Biden take office.
It's so important for Americans and Law Makers to read these Bills that are being passed. The Patriot Act covers all the crimes Bush/Cheney have committed. It's real easy for people like Bush/Cheney to commit crimes over 8 years as long as Americans don't read or pay attention and Law Makers get kick back money and others who are plan stupid.

Blago's probe goes beyond just the attempt of selling Obama's seat. If you go back and read on Tony Rezko's case and trial, Karl Rove is connected to the probe because two gov't witnesses testified that Rove was asked to assist to help Fitz be removed as U.S, Attorney. Fitz and FBI have been investigating Blago since 2006. The entire Rezko case is called Operation Board Games---funneling money for political agenda from the Teachers Retirement Fund. Blago's case is alot more bigger than just him trying to sell Obsmaa's Senate seat. And Rove's name seems to appear in certain aspects of certain probes.

Wiretapping is still part of the Patriot Act. We hope that Obama will amend most parts of the Patriot Act in order to protect the public's privacy.

Well, its discouraging and makes me witchy that Rove is still a free man, but apparently there are 'good guys' watching him. That pleases me immensely because he's been such a blight on Americans. Nearly ALL Americans...

more about Connell speaking of the devil Rove...From the Brad Blog.

Despite the bad news, Arnebeck remains undeterred and seems encouraged by President-elect Barack Obama's nomination of Eric Holder to be the next U.S. Attorney General. "The fact that Rove is leading the effort to derail Obama's AG appointment, suggests that we may be getting the right man to proceed with the necessary work [and] that Justice has already begun to hold Rove accountable."

--------Oh yes we can

I am glad that Comey wrote an open letter to support Holder which throws a wrench into Specter's plans to delay Holder's confirmation. Arlen Specter tends to forget that he is up for re-election. To go as far as digging into Marc Rich for Holder's hearing is ridicious. Noting has been said of about his character when he left the Clinton Administration or his current position as a partner at a law firm.
