Alexander Haig was the idiot who claimed he was in charge after Ronald Reagan got shot. He told the American people that everything would be OK and they could calm down because he was in charge. He was not even close to being in charge!!
That's the joke.
Mama was in D.C. that day Reagan got shot, and seems to remember that day pretty well.
I didn't vote for Reagan so I memory isn't that good about even Reagan getting shot. But my heart dropped and a feeling I had never felt before came when I watched John F Kennedy get shot on TV. It was like living in slow motion and things weren't real. For a time it wasn't real. When it did become real it was like a Family member was murdered.
The Grinch looks just like Mitch McConnell. But this year there are so many evil greedy Law Makers they all look alike.
I remember when I was young and watching the news and Dorothy Tillman (former obnoxious, gaudy hatwearing Alderman) grabbed up the picture of Mayor Washington and tryed to steal it from the exhibit. That on the news over and over, between Els that had their last cars fall off the tracks around the turns. The old days in the 80s before they regulated how fast the El drivers went, and before they tested for drugs and alcohol. But leave it to another Chicago artist to paint politicians in....uhmmm, rather less than a flattering manner
