That is the name of Veep-elect Biden's new puppy.
Biden's granddaughters chose the name "Champ." Biden's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Alexander, says the girls revealed their choice as the family gathered on Christmas morning. She says when Biden was a child his father called him Champ.

Champ and Joe two best friends. I remember Joe Biden's speech in Scraton PA when he said his Dad called him Champ. So now the puppy his his nickname. Clinton had Buddy and the idiot has Barney. Look for Barney to run away when Bush leaves office. I think Champ might like to meet my friend Mr. Kitty.
What a cute pup. I bet he won't tease him to be mean enough to bite reporters like Bush does to his poor dog...
Champ is being trained for the next 6 weeks at an academy. I don't think Barney, Bush's dog, was ever trained. And I don't think this is the first time Barney bit reporters. Bush better worry if Barney and Ms. Besley run away from him.
