Not long after Sarah Palin was sworn in as Alaska's governor in December 2006, her husband, Todd, started showing up in the state capitol in Juneau. He'd hang around her office, or he'd sit in on meetings with Cabinet officials or legislators. He'd leave for a few weeks to go work his $100,000-a-year oil job on the North Slope, then come back to Juneau.
Soon, Todd Palin was getting copied on e-mails dealing with official state business. He had already helped write the state budget, gotten involved in personnel matters and called up lawmakers when he -- or Sarah Palin -- had a bone to pick with them. Apparently Palin's inner circle figured they better include him on messages about pending legislation or ongoing controversies, too.
In the Palin administration, Todd appears to have had an unusually strong role, the extent of which remains unclear. He is not on the state payroll and was never elected -- but the First Dude has crossed over from the standard-issue supportive political spouse to something far more influential, weighing in on policy and political matters in ways that few observers seem to understand. His apparent influence in his wife's administration -- some in Alaska have referred to him as the "shadow governor" -- has raised questions about whether a Sarah Palin vice-presidency would hand the same type of backstage power to Todd, and what that might mean in the running of the U.S. government.

And it is quite interesting that Palin who is representing Alaska would allow her husband to sit on state meetings and even help write the state budget and given confidential state information when he is not an officer or employee of the state. How many other state current and past Governors in other state allow his or her spouse that privilege like Todd Palin?

It was the only way he could keep his manhood intact, with his wife being Gov and all...LOL
He also could not give up the 6 figure job for a lower paying Gov position.
And who's watching the kids?
No one would have ever known First Dude was running Alaska if Sarah hadn't come to Washington DC. First it's illegal for a none elected official to sit in or sign laws in the USA. TGCN here's to your question as to who's watching the kids. In Todd's bio he's listed as a homemaker. Next the results to who's watching the kids is the fact their older son was given a choice by a Judge either jail or the Military. Their daughter is well known as the fast girl in town. Look for Bristols baby to be born in late Jan or Feb. Why you ask? Bristol is the real Mother of Trac the baby. Photo's of Sarah traveling from the airport while 9 months showed no sign of having a baby. Citzens have given information that Bristol was taken out of school for 10 months and returned home after Sarah said she had a baby. Sarah will not release her medical records will show Sarah didn't not resently have a child. This cover up was for a family's secret and the shock to Todd/Sarah was their daughter was having another baby. As for Levi the so call father well the kids in town say different but Bristol did like Levi alot. Levi's family was paid off and Levi who left school to travel with the show has been given the assurances that he will get a spot on a Professional Hockey Team for his cooperation. Levi will get his dream by going along with this scam. What's sad is what these kids are seeing their parents do to get power.
