Palin-Biden debate tomorrow.

WILMINGTON, Del.--Joe Biden walked into the Pit Tuesday.

As a metaphor for his upcoming debate with Sarah Palin, you could do worse.
But this was the Charcoal Pit, a mom-and-pop diner north of the city and Biden was only making a brief public appearance, a break from the build-it-up, break-it-down debate prep taking place at a downtown hotel.

Biden was there, ostensibly, to have lunch with his son, Beau, the state's attorney general. Beau Biden, a captain in the National Guard, is being deployed to Iraq on Friday, the day after the vice presidential debate.

But he was also there to show his face for the television crews that have been parked here in Wilmington all week with little to do but shoot footage of each other. Biden has been out of public view since Sunday, huddled with advisers and Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, who has been playing the role of Palin.

They have constructed a makeshift stage in a converted gym at the hotel. Biden Monday spent much of the day and evening there.
Read on.

And here is something interesting about Granholm:

From Wikipedia:

She won the Miss San Carlos beauty pageant. As a young adult she attempted to launch a Hollywood acting career but was unsuccessful and she abandoned her efforts at the age of 21.
