Thinkprogress:
Despite an economic crisis shaking the country, President Bush has reportedly been very “relaxed.”
Former Missouri senator John C. Danforth was at a fundraiser with Bush last week and said that the President “seemed relieved” his presidency was nearly over. “[He] looked as though he was about to shed this burden of the presidency.
… I took it as though, ‘I’ve done the best I can, I think I made the right decisions and now it’s almost over,’” said Danforth. The New York Times also reports that “Bush has been telling people privately that it’s a good thing he’s in charge” during the country’s rough times because he has “a good group of people in D.C. working for him.”

He's hell is just starting. In life you get back what you give out. Bush will slowly suffer from the crimes and greed that he committed. Dick Cheney will be taken care of by the Middle East that he used and lied to. Life has a funny way of dealing with evil. I was upset when Bush stole the 2000 election but God had a plan He never told me about for Al Gore. Now I know somebody up stairs likes Bill Clinton. The Iran Teacher was right God is not blessing America because of the Evil we have done and allowed to be done. Bush cheaped, lied and stolen from the American people and now has a legacy of being the Worse President in the History of America. He wanted to prove himself better then his Father. Now Daddy Bush can say yes my idiot son you did have two terms as President but everyone hates you and you have no friends. Laura will hit the road on Jan. 19th and move on with her rich Texas boyfriend. Now look for Powell to try and get a job with Obama as will Connie Rice. If Obama is smart he'd keep those two as far away as possible. Barbara Bush will bake Georgie some of her famous nasty cookies.
