I thought Obama came out ahead, and was more confident. McSame had a little porky pig uh uhs going on.

Jim Lehrer as usual did a fantastic job. I know Gwen Ifel will do a great job with the VP in St. Louis.

Mark Shields brought up a good point, gramps never looked at Obama. By the way Mark Shields also an asset to the news team, with Lehrer, Ifel. Well Brooks was there to get the other side of things.

McCain never missed an opportunity to bring up the POW days, every chance he got. He also had to bring up a few times since 1983, or my many years...

Oh an McCain wanted to make Russia out as a big threat, and also does not want to deal with Ahamdinejad........Obama brought up well Ahmadinejad is not the leader;.........(yep just like our Supreme leader Cheney with the Gerbil doing all the talking, same thing) as if McCAin does not know there is a Supreme leader, in Iran as well as here.

McCains war monger scare tactic answers to Iran and Russia should scare some people with any sense who were sitting on the fense into voting for Obama.

And notice that Obama had on his flag lapel pin and Mr. POW didn't. Plus McCain would even look at Obama throughout the entire debate.

Obama did well in the foreign policy area. Since this was McCain's strongest, he certainly did weak in that area. The second Presidential debate will focus on economy. Good luck to McCain. The Veep debate will be next week. With Gwen Ifill being the moderator, Bden and Palin won't know the questions, and their answers being shorten in their debate, any bets that Palin may bail out of the debate?
