Set back with a cup of tea and remember the good years. Ask Mr. Kitty and TGCN this question too.
Let's see we had peace with no wars and a balanced Economy. Our President was respected around the world and investors enjoyed buying stock in the USA. Americans had savings accounts as did their kids. Peaches even went to college in London with the Clinton education plan. Jobs were plenty and were ordered to pay fair pay. Mothers and Fathers had leave to care for their kids and parents and even go to school conferences. Woman were moving up in top jobs and the American dream was alive and well. Vacations and bonuses were part of the American life. Cat food was affordable and Chicago was a great place to visit.
That was then and this is now. We're in a recession and selling off America.
