On NBC’s “Meet the Press: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates make the rounds to discuss the still-volatile situation in the Republic of Georgia. Also has a high-profile potential veep showdown between Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal and Virginia Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine

Face the Nation:” Condoleeza Rice; features a debate between Minnesota Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Indiana Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh, both reported be near the top of the veep lists.

This Week” host George Stephanopoulos interviews former Massachusetts Republican Gov. Mitt Romney, who’s also in the mix as a potential McCain running mate. Stephanopoulos also chats with former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) who’s been busy tamping down speculation in recent weeks that he, too, is in the running as a possible Obama running mate.

CNN’s “Late Edition” follows Gates with a debate between Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), a key McCain supporter, and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.). Host Wolf Blitzer also chats with another vice presidential possibility for Obama, New Mexico Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson.
