Pelosi ruled against impeaching George and Dick.

Have your say, folks!

Crooks and Liars:

One that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is frustratingly and blindly ignoring, as evidenced by her stop-me-before-I-throw-something-at-the-screen appearance on The View.
JOY BEHAR: You’ve ruled against impeaching George Bush and Dick Cheney, and now Kucinich is trying to pass that. Why do you insist on not impeaching these people, so that the world and America can really see the crimes that they’ve committed?
REP. NANCY PELOSI: Well, I think that it—I think it was important, when I became Speaker—and it’s, by the way, a very important position—President, Vice President, Speaker of the House—I saw it as my responsibility to try to bring a much divided country together to the extent that we could. I thought that impeachment would be divisive for the country.
In terms of what we wanted—set out to do, we wanted to raise the minimum wage, give the biggest increase in veterans benefits to veterans in the seventy-seven-year history, then pass research for stem cell research, all of that. This week, we’re going to pass equal pay for equal work. It has been a long time in coming—pay equity. We’re going to pass legislations for product safety, for toys that children put in their—there’s an agenda that you have to get done. You have to try to do it in a bipartisan way. The President has to sign it.
If somebody had a crime that the President had committed, that would be a different story.
If somebody committed "a crime"??? Where in the hell have you been for the past 7 1/2 years, Pelosi? Try Geneva Convention, illegal wiretapping, CIA leak probe, USA firings, illegal hiring at DOJ, Iraq war, illegal propaganda media, and so on.

Cindy Sheehan is going to take her seat. Talk about dissembling! I'd say her remarks fit that!
Either she's scared, because she is in close proximity to Cheney, and he does have a way of scaring people, up close and personal.
Or, the word has come down from the DNC not to rock the boat.
Definitely time for Nancy to look in The Big Mirror at what she's become since being Speaker. I am sorry I missed The View, I doubt she'll be invited back.

I have to agree with you, Anon. Sheehan will take the seat. And I know that Sheehan's first thing in order besides bringing the troops home is to remove Pelosi. Pelosi had a good run when she first walked in as first lady Speaker of the House with her aggressive 100 day agenda. She accomplised the 100 day agenda and then she began to cave into King George. I don't think it is fear. It may be something that the Administration is holding on her. Whatever that it is that is keeping her from doing her job,I don't think she will be in her job that long regardless of the outcome of this Presidential race.

Pelosi basically nailed her job to the coffin when she kept constantly saying that impeachment is off the table. She better look back to the year 1972 when the American people wanted Nixon impeached. Pelosi just showed who she is, where she is going, and what she has become. As Abe Lincoln said, "To test a man's [or woman'] character, give him [or her] power."

Nancy has done NOTHING for this country and I sincerely hope her political career is OVER for good.

She is a black eye to women everywhere. Remember the redneck mantra "You don't speak for me, Cindy?" Well, I hope she gets to speak for millions of Americans who want Nancy GONE from the House and American politics...
