Reporter Andrea Mitchell and her blunder redneck comment.

I learned something about myself Thursday that I did not know: I’m a redneck. But then again, so is every one of you reading this column. Or so says Andrea Mitchell of NBC News.

Mitchell, the wife of former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, actually went on MSNBC on Thursday as Barack Obama was leaving the stage in Bristol and quipped live: “Interesting images today. Barack Obama, Mark Warner, in Southwest Virginia. This is real [chuckle] redneck ... sort of ... uhm ... bordering on Appalachia ... country. This is not the Northern Virginia ... uh ... you know ... high-tech corridor. And these are voters that he would not logically ... be ... you know, gravitating to. This is the beginning of a pivot.”

More on the story.

Update: Ms. Mitchell apologizes.

From Media Matters website:

On the June 9 edition of MSNBC Live, anchor Andrea Mitchell apologized for comments she made on June 5 regarding Sen. Barack Obama's appearance that day in Bristol, Virginia.

MITCHELL: And now, a point of personal privilege. I owe an apology to the good people of Bristol, Virginia, for something stupid that I said last week. I was trying to explain, based on reporting from Democratic strategists, why Barack Obama was campaigning in southwest Virginia, but without attribution or explanation, I used a term strategists often use to demean an entire community. No excuses, I'm really sorry. As they say, when I make a mistake, it's a beaut.

Andrea has been on a hate campaign since the election started. She has attacked Hillary from all sides and some viewers agreed. I was a little surprised because woman don't usually say such dirty things on TV about other woman but things have changed. Now it's Obama's turn and Andrea like Dick Cheney are showing who they really are. Andrea lost her Chief Foreign job with NBC to Richard Engal because we the viewers wrote the Executives of NBC and demand she be replaced. The power of the email brought her down. Now for those woman who hate Hillary for her selfless work for over 40 years of fighting for the rights of woman I say Hillary won the election with more votes then any candidate in history " How you like those Apples".
