In August 2006 the 10th Mountain Division, 2nd BCT, 1-89 Cavalry was sent to Iraq for 12 months.
In April 2007, the troops were told the Army was adding three additional months to their time in country.
In November 2007 the troopers of 1-89 arrived back in New York from their tour. They are now being told by the IRS, via the IRS Web site, that they haven't earned enough money to qualify for the economic stimulus check.
One would think, after the Walter Reed Hospital scandal and other abuses of our military, that the conservatives would have learned that our troops have earned more than the country can ever pay them and that military members should be included automatically in every stimulus event.

Indeed, the definition of a true neoconservative is one who supports the war-NOT the troops...
Not look for any out cry on this yet another slap in the face to our troops. As Military Families struggle with little to no help while our soldiers are risking their lives all I hear from the American people, Media, Law Makers and White House is Support our Troops. As more soldiers die everyday the Pentagon and the Generals again turn their backs. Every State Law Maker who signed this bill is at fault. Not one spoke up not even the Speaker of the House. It just seems a wave of greed and dishonesty has taken over and Americans are now all for themselves. Our Troops still get poor medial care, some are coming home and killing themselves, the conditions of our bases is worse then Iraq, the money allotted to our troops is going to contractors, our dead soldiers are cremated with animals and now the Military Families get no rebate check. Americans/Government our using our soldiers until they die off. What man/woman who loved this country would join the Military and be treated like trash? As Foreign countries build strong Militaries the US is just letting our soldier die and give them nothing while the Generals follow the Corrupt White House orders. There is no one to speak up for our Soldiers.
