“There’s a feeling among some that, ‘I read the fine print, and I didn’t take on more than I could afford,” says Sen. Pat Roberts, a Kansas Republican who is up for re-election this year. The suggestion is that he’s reluctant to do something his constituents would see as unfairly helping people who were irresponsible. Sen.
