Gov. Rod Blagojevich was absent Wednesday for the 27th annual Days of Remembrance Holocaust Observance, which was held at the Old Capitol State Historic Site.
“We never confirmed and let them (the Jewish Federation) know Monday he would not be in attendance,” Rebecca Rausch wrote in an e-mail when asked why the governor did not appear. “The governor has a full schedule following (Tuesday’s) anti-violence announcement.”

Blagojevich was keynote speaker at the event last year.
Louanner Peters, the deputy governor, gave a brief speech in Blagojevich’s place.
After the event, Peters said she was honored to appear but ignored questions about the governor.
“I think for 25 out of 27 years, we have been fortunate to have the governor of this state personally participate in this program,” said Jay Tcath, vice president of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. “There are obviously other things going on in the state, and it’s unfortunate that he was not able to join us.”

Thanks to my friends from Illinois letting be just who G-Rod is it's clear he is very busy collecting as much as possible before the end. Most likely waiting for those garbage bags and getting rid of the evidence that wasn't found or known about yet. As as for the crime situation don't look for anything to be done by G-Rod. Money doesn't end violence it's people who have hope and see a future that ends violence. Gangs offer money and life style, while these kids see no jobs and the corrupt Law makers are pocketing thousands by the crimes they commit. People forget to see how kids watch the adults. Look at their examples today. We see Law Makers even the VP shooting people and getting away with it. Even murders by Law Makers are covered up. G-Rod and Toddster are just a few examples of what is seen.
I remember when I was a child and was told by my parents do as I say do. Yes I was a thinker and said to myself let me try what your doing. Now I learned sometimes the hard way but I did watch them like a hawk. Children today are the same way. Our Government is corrupt yet dictates to others to obey the law. What Law? There is more corruption in the DOJ then on the streets. Even Law Makers are charged with giving terrorist money.
