Inmates help California fires.
Calif. Inmates Helped Put Out the Fires — Among those on the front lines fighting the California fires this week were prison inmates. … The inmates are paid $1.00 an hour. They also get a day of extra good time for every day spent fighting fires.

Cook County inmates pick up trash.......why not have California inmates do something productive?
Would that be garbage lying on the side of the road, relatives of the Toddler, or the politically connected who don't have to work and can just collect disability pay?
