Dumbledore is gay; Conservatives attack gay Dumbledore.

Shocker for readers of the Harry Potter series. J.K.Rowling says he was smitten with Grindelwald. And really, who among us hasn't occasionally fallen in love with an evil wizard?

After reading briefly from the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," she took questions from audience members.

She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."

"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.

She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down."

Dumbledore's love, she observed, was his "great tragedy."

Dumbledore: He is the headmaster of the fictional wizarding school Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

If Dumbledore can come out the closet, how many more hypocrite lawmakers ran their campaign on family values come out of the closet or be exposed?

Lowering the bar... From Thinkprogress:

One prominent conservative blog, Newsbusters, is claiming that the revelation somehow vindicates the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, who was showered with ridicule in 1999 after declaring that one of the Teletubbies, Tinky Winky, was gay. Mark Finkelstein, a Republican official in upstate New York, writes that “somewhere, Jerry Falwell is smiling” about the news:

What’s that? It now turns out that Dumbledore is gay? That guy who was the headmaster at Harry Potter’s Hogwarts? Author J.K. Rowling said so herself? […]

And while Falwell was thoroughly lambasted in the MSM for his suggestion, the Times tells us that Rowlings’s revelation inspired “applause.”

Somewhere, Jerry Falwell is smiling.

First, Harry Potter and the Teletubbies are completely unrelated. The sexual orientation of a character in one fictional world cannot vindicate claims about the sexual orientation of a separate character in a separate fictional world.

And let's not forget Spongebob Squarepants was being called gay by a conservative religious organization sometime ago...

Jerry knew Dumbledore was gay because Jerry was gay and saw the signs. As for the rest of us readers it wasn't clear until the 7th book. Dumbledore's life story came out in the 7th books so the readers didn't know about it. Lord Voldermort could have been gay as he to never had a female interest. Most of the people who haven't read the book are clue less to who Dumbledore is. Now the US has Millions of young readers who love and admire the Dumbledore the Head Master of Hogwarts.

I suggest all the Law Makers who are gay please stand up. Few well be seated.

Yes, they did Chicago Native. The nimrods are being the joke. They really scrape from the bottom to attack fictional characters. They certainly have a dirty mind to think these characters are gay.
