The Justice Department won't investigate the lies and fabrication of evidence that Bush and Cheney used to take us into Iraq. The Justice Department won't investigate further the leak that uncovered Valerie Plame's CIA identity and attempted to discredit her husband, Joseph Wilson. Justice refuses to investigate countless breaches of Constitutional law, malfeasance, neglect and downright criminal behavior of the Bush Administration.


But, the Justice department HAS started a criminal investigaton into the leak of information about Bush's illegal wiretapping program.


A team of FBI agents arrived with a CLASSIFIED search warrant at the home of Thomas Tamm, a former Justice Deparment lawyer who worked in the Justice's Office of Intelligence Policy and Review (OIPR)—the supersecret unit that oversees surveillance of terrorist and espionage targets.


CLASSIFIED means that the FBI raiders were not allowed to tell Thomas Tamm what they were looking for, in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment, which states:


The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. (empasis added)


The FBI took all of the computers in the house, including his kids', and personal files.
When the leak occured, Alberto Gonzales, aka Gonzo the Wonder Chimp, said "This is really hurting national security; this has really hurt our country."


Thomas Tamm, if he is the leaker, is one of the greatest patriots of this decade. It was his actions that called to task and exposed the Administration's criminal avoidance of FISA and Constitutional law in wiretapping and eavesdropping on hundreds of thousands of Americans. What will hurt this country is if the travesty that is being perpetrated against him continues.


All Americans should rally in his defense, because we can definitely see what is coming down the pike should Tamm be indicted. There will be no "Executive Privilege" shielding him, and no commutation. The Bush Administration will do everything in its power to shred this man's reputaton and ruin his life.


This is another blatant attempt to use a government body (The FBI, Justice Department) to retaliate against a man who has done us a great service. Like Valerie Plame, Bush is preparing to use Tamm to discredit dissenters and justify even further reaches for power. The Justice Deparment has become nothing more than an extension of the White House Counsel.


It is now up to the American people to put a stop to this constant abuse of Executive powers and the Constitution.



Perhaps some of you who are reading this, and other political blogs, do not fully understand what is at stake. I suggest you drop what you're doing; your video games, your romance novels, etc, and read the Constitution. Then compare it to the Bush Administration's actions.

Impeachment was the Founders' remedy against abuse of the Executive powers. They knew that the temptation to gather power would be inevitable, and that there had to be a remedy for the time when a President would make himself a Dictator, just as King George himself declared at the first of his Administration. Impeachment is not a political, partisan tool to be used as punishment against a rival party. Impeachment is the sole remedy that the PEOPLE have against a corrupt and criminal Executive. The founding fathers put into the Constitution our means of defending ourselves and our laws. NO ONE is above the law, and no amount of Signing Statements, or claims of



Executive Privilege will ever undermine that basic principle.


The targeting of Thomas Tamm is the last straw. We, THE PEOPLE, have the power in our hands to stop this and all other travesties against our law and nation. If we do not use it, the final disgrace will be upon our heads.
