Jack Bauer's Next Mission: Fighting Global Warming.

From Washington Post:

The "24" page at Fox.com now features energy conservation tips and a public service announcement about global warming featuring Kiefer Sutherland; more information will be posted when the show airs in January. Plus, climate change will be incorporated into the series' plot (which just might scare some viewers into taking action).

The extent to which the plan will reduce the show's imprint on Earth is difficult to calculate, but the measures certainly won't hurt; more shows and films aiming to reduce their carbon footprints could have a considerable impact. Some productions before "24" were green -- films such as "Syriana" and "An Inconvenient Truth" were carbon-neutral, as was Comedy Central's recent roast of Flavor Flav. But "24's" weekly visibility might spark a domino effect -- in Hollywood, Bollywood and beyond.

Jack Bauer if your reading this blog site Fred Thompson needs a job. He will be sending in his resume could you put in a good word for him. Fred can't get enough money so he might just take what he has gotten already and fold up shop. That's Fred for ya take the money and run home. Fred has to keep working to support his trophy wife and make those spousal support payments while McCain can sit back and live off his rich wife.

SPB could you find out where is Porter Goss? It's like he disappeared of the face of the earth after he was caught in the male/female sex parties with Duke. No one in the White House even acts like they know who he is anymore. Did he leave the country with his male lover or what? He's to old to find a new job making that kind of money. Let me know if you find out where Porter Goss is.

Jackie,

Since you are the one of on this blog who care about the whereabouts of Porter Goss (I could care less of the nimrod). I found an article dated August 1 that mentioned Porter Goss:

FGCU’s search goes step beyond

Interim president tries one-on-one approach

FGCU’s interim president is actively recruiting potential replacements, trying to woo candidates even though a search firm is being paid to drum up interest.

Interim chief Richard Pegnetter already has flown to Washington, D.C., for a closed-door meeting with a high-profile presidential prospect, and may return for two more private meetings. He also has fielded calls from 15 to 20 individuals curious about the job.

FGCU’s Foundation budgeted $150,000 for the presidential search, money that includes a fee for the firm Greenwood & Associates to advertise, promote, recruit and coordinate a national campaign. Greenwood asked Pegnetter, who is not a member of FGCU’s search committee, to meet possible contenders face to face.

FGCU prospects can either respond to an advertisement, or be nominated anonymously by a colleague, admirer or community member. They don’t become official applicants unless they submit a resume for consideration. Two high-profile, Washington-based politicians with ties to Southwest Florida have been nominated for the FGCU post:

• Porter Goss: former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. Congressman, Lee County commissioner and Sanibel mayor. His chief of staff, Sheryl Wooley, confirmed Wednesday that Goss was contacted, but after reviewing the job description, he felt he didn’t possess enough experience in education and would not apply.
