Breaking news: McRove is resigning!!!!

The rats are leaving the rat hole and jumping ship, folks! And let's hope McRove doesn't pursue a singing career!!!

Karl Rove will resign from his position in the Bush Administration and return to Texas Aug. 31, according to an interview published Monday with Paul Gigot, editorial page editor for The Wall Street Journal.

When asked by Gigot whether he's leaving "to avoid Congressional scrutiny," he said, "I know they'll say that. But I'm not going to stay or leave based on whether it pleases the mob."

A spokeswoman for the committee told
RAW STORY that its chairman, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), was expected to release a statement on Rove's resignation later Monday.

And here is Rove's excuse for resigning: He needs some more family time.
UPDATE: Rove plans to write a book on the Bush presidency, a move which President Bush is encouraging:
"He’d like to teach eventually, but he has no specific job plans, save to write a book on the Bush years, which “the boss,” as in Mr. Bush, “has encouraged me to do.”

Bush may want to make the public think that Rove's resignation is wrapped up in a pretty pink ribbon bow. But, the clown President knows that it is over in September. So, the pressure has been on two of Bush's main and last base: Rove and Gonzo. One of them were going to resign first. But, this is not over for Rove whether he resigned or not. Best believe, the heat will be turn on for Gonzo to be next to resign.
On a side note: An interesting reaction from Aljazeera.com:

"Thank you Mr Bush. For showing the world that America can do anything it wants and get away with it"

Tweety is crying and so is David Gregory. Now Karl Rove didn't resign because he wanted to. Daddy Bush had to be with baby Bush during the talks with the French President. After that meeting Daddy Bush ordered his idiot son to fire Karl Rove. Yes Daddy Bush fired Karl while he worked in his Administration for crimes. Now Karl is out there on his own. Daddy Bush knows his rich business friends are starting to lose big bucks. Check the stock market. Goldman Sachs gave billions in bonus money to employees for Christmas only to find themselves in trouble now. Cheney is packing up as things are getting hot. Gonzales now only his Cheney as a boss. More people will start to speak up as Karl no longer has the protection of the Gerbil.

Remember Judge Walton? Well now he will reopen the Seal vs Seal case. Bush will have to break the law again to save his buddy Karl. Look for more to unfold this week as the brain leaves the house of power.

The house of power had a brain???!!!

That was funny!!

Gonzales cannot resign--he's the only one who is standing between the White House and indictments.

Well, let's see. Neil Bush helped with the BCCI $$ scandal and now another Bush is in charge when the banks ran amok with sub-prime mortgages. In comparison to Enron, which affected the world markets and geopolitical forces at almost zero, the world banks worked together and dumped cash into the mix. This time, the sub-prime loans are affecting the global economy.

Never say never, kittybowtie. Tomorrow is promissory note. We don't know what tomorrow brings. Gonzo doesn't know. The Gerbil said that Rove wasn't going to resign and what happen. He resigned. He said that about Rummy and Spitman Wolfie. And Josh Bolten is not another Boy Genius. He refused to testify for the Senate committee with the Gerbil claiming Executive Privilege. Bolten is in hot water in crimes too.
