Japan becomes Qatar’s largest trading partner.

From Gulf Times:

Japan is now Qatar’s largest trading partner, accounting for about 32.14% of the state’s total trade volumes.

Giving highlights of the expanding business relations between the two countries, Japanese Ambassador Masahiko Horie yesterday said that oil, gas, petrochemical products, machinery, equipment and automobiles were among the major goods that boosted the trade.

Qatar exported goods worth QR53.92bn in 2006, up 38.6% on the previous year. Japan’s exports to Qatar totalled QR5.31bn last year, up 47% on the previous year.Horie said that though the volume of bilateral trade was in Qatar’s favour now, Japanese firms were increasingly getting involved in the Gulf state’s energy, civil aviation, transport and other sectors

Qatar is so pretty and has the best places to shop. Japan did good as Qatar is rich with oil. Citzens all share in the oil profits that's why the small country is so beautiful. Peaches stayed their for 3 weeks and has pictures. Now that's a true vacation spot and they know how to treat American visitors. Oh and their are no poor people in Qatar unlike the US all profits are shared with the people so no one is poor or left out.
