Interesting story on Cliff Schecter's blog.

"To those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: Your tactics only aid terrorists. ... They give ammunition to America's enemies, and pause to America's friends."-- former attorney general John Ashcroft

"You're either with us or against us." -- George W. Bush

A man walked up to Dick Cheney, calmly told him he thought his Iraq policy was reprehensible, and walked away. A few minutes later he was arrested by the Secret Service, in front of his 8-year-old son, for "assault".

When he asked what would happen to his child, the Secret Service said, "He can be sent to Child Services." Luckily, the boy found his mother and was safe.

But the citizen who practiced his free speech spent a few hours in jail before he was released.

This is a story that was just told by Matthew Rothschild on Thom Hartmann's radio show.

Welcome to V for Vendetta.
I was to scared to watch the movie but I'm seeing in live now. We no longer have the freedom's this country was founded on. We are taxed without any representation. It's time to take our country back from the enemy within.
Now this is something I've been thinking about lately. If the American people only paid taxes to their states and not the government maybe it would do more to officials to do their jobs for the people. As long as these guys have control of the taxpayers money they will continue to rob us.
Secondly the US had a civil war and no other country came in to help yet we settled our differences why can't Iraq do the same thing. Why do we have to police that country?
