Spanish-language papers want Gonzo to resign.

The daily La Opinión in Los Angeles and the Chicago weekly La Raza argue in a common editorial that Alberto Gonzales should resign. ‘The firing of the U.S. attorneys is sufficient cause for doubting his capacity for distinguishing his loyalty to President George W. Bush from his duty to citizens,’ the editorial says. Another Spanish-language column in the Chicago paper Hoy:

Gonzales’ ascent was “a double triumph,” Muñoz wrote: “Not only was he was the first Latino attorney general, but he was the first Latino to occupy one of the four most important seats in the presidential cabinet.”

But with many in Congress calling for his resignation as a result of the U.S. attorney firings, the columnist added, “Latino leadership needs to join” in that demand. “Gonzales not only has let down the community — he’s let down the nation,” Muñoz…wrote.

The newspapers have something in common with Newt, who is grandstanding and asking for Gonzo to resign.

Newt did not get the memo that he is a washed up hasbeen. Newt and Gonzo should go stand next to Gary Coleman at the mall.

There's goes the race card defense.
With the Spanish people a shame of Gonzo watch Hatch change his story. Gonzo's lies have nothing to do with his race he's just stupid and unqualified for the job. Mr. Richardson even stated he felt Gonzo was unqualified. Now we know that Karl Rove/Meirs were running the Attorney Generals officie as Gonzo was just holding the title and signing what ever they told him to sign.

Gonzo's fate was sealed when Captain Electric Car stood by him and told him he was doing a heckofajob. Have any Gerbil appointees survived a stamp of approval from him? Getting told they are doing a good job is like getting a horse's head in the bed.

Gary Coleman came in number 2 in the California election for Governor. Yes Arnie " I'll be back" won the election but Coleman was second. Just think about it little Gary from Different Strokes could have been the winner. If Arie has been eliminated yes Governor Gary Coleman. Now that's how sick we are here in California as we also had a Porn Queen, Porn Magazine editor and other wackos on the list. Even Gonzo as dumb as he is could have been on the list. Homer Simpson was a candidate " that's Hollywood".

Wow, what a sad sack of candidates in California. Look at the sad sack of candidates trying for the GOP in '08. Not much better!
