US oil services giant Halliburton said Monday it had wrapped up its work commitments in Iran and was no longer conducting any projects in the Islamic republic.
Halliburton announced in January of 2005 that it was shutting-down its Iran operations, but would honor existing "contractual commitments" until they were fulfilled.
"Halliburton announced today that all of its contractual commitments in Iran have been completed and the company is no longer working in Iran," the firm said in a brief statement.

Interesting as Homeland Security and the White House stopped all American companies from doing business with the Axis of Evil. Now we learn that the only American company with all the US contracts has been doing business in Iran all along. Now we know where the Troops money went. Bush is truly a man of his word as Cheney gets Congress to rubber stamp the money. All that talk about Pelosi's visit to Syria while the United States Whit House and Halliburton were busy doing business in Iran. Go move on Bush's part. The media will not tell you about the KBR/Halliburton separation and Halliburton stopping projects with Iran. For business purpose and CYA for KBR and Halliburton had to end their business realtionship for business reason. Waxman is on the trail of Hslliburton/ KBR. KBR/Halliburton joined forces for the Iraq reconstruction and gov't contracts. And Cheney was benefitting from both companies. oth companies know that there will be lawsuit arising from the war profiteering. So, Halliburton is moved to Dubai, and KBR ends their business relationship with Halliburton and I wonder where KBR will be outsourced to...
