AP reports, “President Bush will invite Democrats to the White House to discuss their standoff over a war-funding bill, but he will not budge from his opposition to troop-withdrawal deadlines in Iraq.” When a reporter asked White House spokeswoman Dana Perino why lawmakers should attend the meeting if Bush won’t negotiate, Perino replied, “Maybe they need to hear again from the president about why he thinks it is foolish to set arbitrary timetables for withdrawal.”

Bush knows Pelosi knows his Syrian secrets. Now she knows he's playing to the media. He wants to outwardly show he's reaching out yet nothing has changed. He wants the money and doesn't care about the troops or Americans. He could care less how many soldiers die or how long they stay in Iraq. Because if and when they come injured Walter Reed trash treatment will be waiting to finished them off.
It's not an invite by King Gerbil. He is like a kid who demand his lollipop that was taken away. He is afraid that Pelosi and Congress will take away his purse...
