CanWest wanted Black, others to receive non-compete fees, jurors told

CHICAGO, April 4 (Reuters) - Defense lawyers at the criminal fraud trial of Conrad Black sought to show on Wednesday that millions of dollars of payments received by the fallen media baron and co-defendents were approved by the board of his former company, not stolen.

Prosecutors contend Black and three former executives diverted some $60 million from the media conglomerate, Hollinger International Inc., by sending the payments to entities closely controlled by Black.
The payments, prosecutors said, should have instead gone to Hollinger International and its shareholders.

As Randall would say " No comment".
But since I'm not Randall I can say Conrad Black better call Al so he can replace the honest DOJ lawyer with Tim. Tim will surely loose the case for the government. As he never tried a case it's easy. Just act like they do in the movies and say " your out of order, the hold court is out of order", then the Judge will know Tim is crazy and dismiss the case. Black should use his cell phone and call Rove to do so tricks.
